Online Norway–Russia Barents Sea Fishery Negotiations to Be Held December 8–12
ノルウェーとロシアは、2025年の漁業交渉を12月8日から12日にかけてオンラインで行うことで合意しました。両国は約50年にわたり、 バレンツ海のタラ（torsk）、ハドック（hyse）、カペリン（lodde）、カラスガレイ（blåkveite）、アカウオ（snabeluer）などの主要資源を共同管理 してきており、この協力関係は持続的で予測可能な資源管理に大きく貢献しています。
今年の交渉は、安全保障上の緊張やロシア漁業会社2社のリスト化などにより例年より難しい状況にありますが、それでも双方は漁業協力の継続が重要だと強調しています。ノルウェー政府は、厳しい情勢下でも年内に合意をまとめることを目指しています。
Norway and Russia have agreed to hold the 2025 fishery negotiations online from December 8 to 12. For nearly 50 years, the two countries have jointly managed key fish stocks in the Barents Sea, including cod, haddock (hyse), capelin, Greenland halibut (blåkveite), and redfish (snabeluer). This long-standing cooperation has played an important role in ensuring sustainable and predictable resource management.
This year’s negotiations are more challenging than usual due to security-related tensions and the listing of two Russian fishing companies. Nevertheless, both sides emphasize that continued cooperation in fisheries remains essential. The Norwegian government aims to reach an agreement within the year despite the difficult circumstances.
