フェロー諸島のカペリン価格はアイスランドの3倍超　漁業労組が説明求める
Faroe Islands Capelin Prices More Than Three Times Higher Than Iceland, Seamen’s Union Demands Explanation

アイスランド漁業労働者組合（Sjómannasamband Íslands）のValmundur Valmundsson会長は、国会で公表されたカペリン価格データについて、フェロー諸島とアイスランドの価格差が大きすぎるとして漁業会社側に説明を求めました。

2025/26漁期の平均水揚価格は、アイスランドが1kg当たり80.64クローナであったのに対し、フェロー諸島は250クローナと3倍以上の水準だったとされています。同会長は、数量や市場環境の違いは認めながらも、この価格差は容易に説明できるものではないと指摘しました。

一方で、今季のカペリン漁期に関する最終精算はまだ完了しておらず、加工製品の販売も継続中であることから、漁業者が最終的に受け取る価格は今後変動する可能性があります。産業大臣も、現時点での統計は暫定的なものであり、最終精算後に価格データが修正される可能性があるとの見解を示しています。

そのため、カペリン価格を巡る議論は今後の最終精算や販売結果の公表によってさらに展開していくものとみられています。

According to information presented in the Icelandic Parliament, the average landing price of capelin in the Faroe Islands during the 2025/26 fishing season was more than three times higher than in Iceland. This has led the Icelandic Seamen’s Union to question the large price difference and request explanations from fishing companies.

The union argues that such a significant gap is difficult to understand, while industry representatives note that the final settlement for the season has not yet been completed. Since some processed products have not yet been sold, the final value of the catch and the payments to fishermen may still change.

The debate over capelin pricing is therefore expected to continue until final settlements and sales results become available.
