本動画は、財務省「貿易統計」を基に、1988年から2026年8月までの日本のカペリン輸入数量を国別に累計し、そのランキングの変遷をBar Chart Race（動く棒グラフ）で可視化したものである。
各年の数量は、1988年から当該年までの累計輸入数量を示しており、単年の輸入数量ではない。
数量単位はMT（メトリックトン）。なお、2026年のデータは1月から8月までの集計値である。

About the Data
This animation illustrates changes in the rankings of Japan’s capelin import sources based on cumulative import volumes from 1988 through August 2026, using a Bar Chart Race.
The figures represent cumulative import volumes from 1988 up to each respective year, rather than annual import volumes.
Volumes are expressed in metric tons (MT). Data for 2026 cover January through August only.
