バレンツ海でのカペリン資源調査開始（ロシアVNIRO）

ロシアの全ロシア水産海洋研究所（ВНИРО）は、バレンツ海でカペリンを中心とした資源調査を開始しました。調査船「ヴィリニュス」によるこの航海では、カペリンのほかタラやハドック、カラスガレイ、ズワイガニ、タラバガニ、ホッコクアカエビなども調査対象です。
研究者たちは、音響・トロール調査を行い、海洋データやプランクトン、海鳥や海洋哺乳類の観測も進めています。今回の調査で得られる情報は、2026年のカペリン産卵回遊の予測や漁獲枠の勧告に役立てられる予定です。
The Russian research institute VNIRO has started a survey in the Barents Sea, with a main focus on capelin. The research vessel Vilnius is being used for this work. Besides capelin, they also study cod, haddock, Greenland halibut, snow crab, red king crab, and northern shrimp.
The scientists are doing acoustic and trawl surveys, and they also collect data on the sea, plankton, seabirds, and marine mammals. The results of this survey will help to predict the 2026 capelin spawning migration and to set the fishing quota.
