バレンツ海エコシステム調査終了：ロシアの調査船「ヴィリニュス」が帰港
Annual Barents Sea Ecosystem Survey Completed: Research Vessel “Vilnyus” Returns to Murmansk

10月15日、ロシアの調査船「ヴィリニュス」がムルマンスク港に帰港し、バレンツ海で実施されていた年次エコシステム調査が終了しました。

この調査は、ロシアとノルウェー両国の排他的経済水域や公海で行われ、環境条件や餌資源、水生生物の分布などが調べられました。60種以上の魚類と200種以上の無脊椎動物に関するデータが収集され、科学者たちは7万尾以上の魚を計測。さらに寄生虫や病理の検査も行われました。

調査は計画通り完了し、バレンツ海の資源と生態系を理解するための重要なデータ基盤が整えられました。今後、この結果が資源管理や漁獲枠の設定などに活用されることが期待されます。

On October 15, the Russian research vessel “Vilnyus” returned to the port of Murmansk, marking the completion of the annual ecosystem survey in the Barents Sea.

The survey was carried out in the exclusive economic zones of Russia and Norway, as well as in international waters. It focused on studying environmental conditions, food resources, and the distribution of marine organisms. Data was collected on more than 60 fish species and 200 invertebrate species. Scientists measured over 70,000 fish and also conducted examinations for parasites and pathological conditions.

The survey was completed as planned, providing an important data foundation for understanding the resources and ecosystem of the Barents Sea. The results are expected to be used in future resource management and quota setting.
