ロシア極東における2026年1～5月の太平洋カペリン漁獲量は約1万3,000トンに達し、前年を大きく上回るペースで推移している。背景には太平洋カペリン資源の回復に加え、バレンツ海における大西洋カペリン禁漁の影響がある。大西洋カペリンの卸売価格は過去2年間で5～7倍に上昇しており、これまで採算面で不利だった太平洋カペリン漁業の収益性が改善した。ロシア国内ではフェロー諸島産カペリンの輸入も増加しているが、業界関係者は品質や用途の違いから完全な代替は難しいとみている。市場では依然としてバレンツ海カペリンへの需要が強く、資源回復と将来的な禁漁解除への期待が高まっている。

Pacific capelin catches in the Russian Far East reached more than 13,000 tons during January–May 2026. The increase is supported by improving Pacific capelin stocks and strong market demand following the closure of the Barents Sea capelin fishery.

Wholesale prices for Atlantic capelin have reportedly increased by five to seven times over the past two years, improving the profitability of Pacific capelin fishing. Imports of Faroese capelin into Russia have also increased, but industry sources believe Pacific capelin cannot fully replace Atlantic capelin in the market. Many market participants continue to watch for a recovery of the Barents Sea stock and a future reopening of the fishery.
